As a Warehouse Supervisor, you will play a critical role in streamlining their supply chain, maintaining Good Warehousing Practices (GWP), and supporting uninterrupted production and distribution networks.
Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will oversee the day-to-day warehouse operations to ensure efficiency, safety, and compliance. Your core responsibilities will include:
- Operational Supervision: Supervise warehouse personnel's daily activities to maximize productivity and efficiency.
- Inventory & Stock Control: Coordinate the receiving, storage, and dispatch of goods while maintaining accurate inventory records through routine stock reconciliation and verification.
- GWP & Environmental Compliance: Ensure proper storage of materials under required environmental conditions and strict segregation of quarantined, expired, and approved stock.
- Space Optimization: Maximize the utilization of warehouse space, equipment, and vehicles to support capacity planning.
- Safety & Security: Enforce occupational safety, emergency procedures, housekeeping, and security protocols to maintain a hazard-free work environment.
- Reporting & Documentation: Prepare regular reports, maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), and keep meticulous records.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Coordinate with production and distribution teams to guarantee a seamless flow of materials and finished goods.
Requirements and Core Competencies
To succeed in this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Industrial Management, or a related field. Professional certifications in Supply Chain/Inventory Management are an added advantage.
- Experience: Minimum of 5 years post-NYSC experience in warehouse or inventory management. Experience in the pharmaceutical or bio-pharmaceutical industry is a must.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) or ERP software, alongside advanced usage of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of warehouse safety, occupational health requirements, and inventory reconciliation techniques.
- Soft Skills: Strong leadership, problem-solving, organizational, and time-management skills, along with a high level of integrity and attention to detail.
