At TPLPI, we stand as a beacon of hope and a dynamic community-based resource center. Since our informal beginnings in 2019, we have been unwavering in our dedication to empowering young Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex individuals living with HIV (LGBTQILHIV), Sex Workers living with HIV (SWLHIV), People who use and inject drugs living with HIV (PWUIDLHIV), and others. Our particular focus on Adolescent and Young Sexual and Gender Minorities (AYSGM) in Lagos state, especially young Gay, Bisexual, and Queer Men (GBQ), addresses critical gaps in health services and support, ensuring no one is left behind.

Role Overview: Driving Impact Through Programmatic Excellence

As a Program Officer, you will be at the heart of TPLPI's operations, providing crucial support in the planning, coordination, implementation, and reporting of projects across a diverse range of thematic areas. This is a flexible, multi-program role designed for an individual who is not only passionate about community-led development but also deeply committed to advocacy and social impact. You will play a vital part in transforming lives and fostering a more inclusive and equitable society.

Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do

Project Implementation: Support the execution of critical projects spanning Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR), HIV prevention and care, gender justice, human rights advocacy, and more.
Activity Coordination: Take charge of coordinating impactful trainings, community outreaches, safe-space sessions, and crucial advocacy activities.
Reporting & Documentation: Develop comprehensive reports, compelling concept notes, robust proposals, and effective documentation tools to capture our work's reach and impact.
Funding & Partnership: Actively identify new funding opportunities and contribute to the development of winning proposals. Support meaningful engagement with donors and partners to foster collaborative growth.
Monitoring & Evaluation Support: Collaborate closely with the Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) team to rigorously track project results and prepare insightful progress reports.
Community Engagement: Lead community mobilization efforts and ensure authentic, respectful engagement with beneficiaries, listening to their needs and empowering their voices.
Ethical Programming: Champion safeguarding principles, maintain strict confidentiality, and uphold ethical standards in all programming activities.
Representation: Represent TPLPI professionally in key meetings and stakeholder engagements, amplifying our mission and building strategic alliances.

Who We're Looking For: Your Profile

We are seeking a proactive and empathetic individual ready to contribute significantly to our cause.

Qualifications:

A degree, diploma, or certification in Public Health, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Development Studies, Law, Nursing, Education, or a closely related field.

Experience:

1 to 3 years of demonstrated experience in NGO programming, advocacy, SRHR, HIV, gender, or community development.

Skills:

Exceptional writing, communication, and facilitation skills, enabling you to articulate ideas clearly and engage diverse audiences effectively.
Experience in proposal writing and donor engagement is a distinct advantage, showcasing your ability to secure vital resources.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace tools, ensuring efficient program management and reporting.
