About the Role

Key Responsibilities
- Administer and support Red Hat Linux, Solaris, and Oracle Linux systems.
- Manage OS lifecycles, from installation and configuration to patching and troubleshooting.
- Oversee virtualization technologies and enterprise clustering for maximum fault tolerance.
- Proactively monitor server health, including CPU, memory, storage, and network performance.
- Maintain security standards through diligent system hardening and active collaboration with security teams.
- Conduct regular backups and lead technology refresh initiatives.
- Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor liaison regarding hardware and software resolution.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
- A minimum of 8 years of post-NYSC experience in Unix/Linux system administration.
- Proven expertise in Red Hat, Solaris, and Oracle Linux operating systems.
- Hands-on experience with virtualization platforms like VMware or KVM.
- Deep familiarity with enterprise-grade clustering, storage, and backup architectures.
- Previous experience working within the Telco or broader Tech industry.
- Professional certifications such as RHCSA or RHCE are highly desirable and will set your application apart.
