Empowering Women and Youth Through Digital Skills: Trainer Opportunity at WEP International

Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is a renowned non-governmental, non-profit, non-political, non-religious, and voluntary organization established in April 1997. Driven by a vision to transform the lives of women and youth positively, WEP is launching an impactful initiative and seeking a dedicated Trainer in Web Development using WordPress CMS.

This role is part of the exciting 3-month Digital Skills Development Programme under the WomenPower2030: Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development project. The initiative is specifically designed to empower young girls, women, and persons with disabilities within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, equipping them with essential digital competencies for employment, entrepreneurship, and advocacy.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging, inclusive, and beginner-friendly ICT training sessions focused on WordPress CMS and web development.
• Develop and share simple, effective lesson plans, hands-on activities, and evaluation tools.
• Provide ongoing support to learners through mentorship and practical exercises.
• Monitor and report on participant progress, engagement, and overall training outcomes.
• Collaborate closely with the WEP team to ensure a safe, supportive, and accessible learning environment.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A Degree, Diploma, or recognized certification in ICT, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in facilitating digital skills training or coaching learners in web development and WordPress.
• High proficiency in WordPress CMS and related web technologies.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills.
• Prior experience working with women, youth, or persons with disabilities will be considered a significant advantage.
• A proven ability to create an inclusive, empowering, and patient learning environment.
• Must be based in Abuja, Nigeria, and committed to being physically available for the duration of the 12-week programme.
