Empowering the Next Generation of Digital Creators: Video Editing Trainer Opportunity at WEP International
Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is proud to announce an exciting opportunity for passionate and qualified ICT professionals. As part of the prestigious WomenPower2030: Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development project, WEP is launching a comprehensive 3-month Digital Skills Development Programme based in the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja.
This transformative initiative is specifically designed to empower young girls, women, and persons with disabilities by equipping them with practical digital competencies. In today's digital economy, video editing and multimedia production are critical skills that open doors to remote employment, entrepreneurship, and impactful social advocacy.
About the Role
We are seeking a dedicated Trainer in Video Editing (CapCut, Filmora, or similar tools) to lead our learners through an immersive 12-week curriculum. The ideal candidate will not only possess deep technical expertise in modern video editing software but also share WEP’s vision of positively transforming the lives of women and youth through inclusive education.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and beginner-friendly ICT training sessions focused on video editing.
- Develop and share simple, easy-to-follow lesson plans, hands-on activities, and constructive evaluation tools.
- Support learners through personalized mentorship, troubleshooting, and practical exercises.
- Monitor and report on participant progress, attendance, and overall training outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the WEP team to ensure a safe, encouraging, and supportive learning environment for all participants.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Degree, Diploma, or recognized certification in ICT, Computer Science, Media Production, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating digital skills training or coaching diverse groups of learners.
- Proven proficiency in video editing tools and technologies such as CapCut, Filmora, or similar industry-standard applications.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills with a knack for breaking down complex concepts.
- Prior experience working with women, youth, or persons with disabilities is a distinct added advantage.
- Exceptional ability to create an inclusive and empowering learning environment.
- Must be currently based in Abuja and fully committed to being physically available for the entire 12-week duration of the programme.
