Empowering the Next Generation: UI/UX Design Trainer Opportunity at WEP International
Women Environmental Programme (WEP) is offering an exciting opportunity for passionate and skilled professionals to make a tangible difference. Formed in April 1997, WEP is a non-governmental, non-profit organization dedicated to transforming the lives of women and youth. As part of the prestigious WomenPower2030: Feminist Accelerate Action for Sustainable Development project, WEP is launching a 12-week Digital Skills Development Programme in the Federal Capital Territory (Abuja).
This initiative specifically targets young girls, women, and persons with disabilities, equipping them with essential digital competencies to thrive in the modern economy through employment, entrepreneurship, and advocacy. We are currently seeking a dedicated Trainer in UI/UX Design (Figma) to lead this transformative in-person training.
Trainer Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging, inclusive, and beginner-friendly UI/UX design training sessions using Figma.
- Develop and share simple lesson plans, hands-on activities, and practical evaluation tools.
- Support learners through personalized mentorship and guided practical exercises.
- Monitor and report on participant progress, engagement, and overall training outcomes.
- Collaborate closely with the WEP team to maintain a safe, accessible, and supportive learning environment.
Qualifications and Requirements
- A Degree, Diploma, or recognized certification in ICT, Computer Science, Graphic Design, or a related field.
- Demonstrated experience facilitating digital skills training, specifically in UI/UX design and Figma.
- Proficiency in Figma and related collaborative design tools.
- Strong communication, facilitation, and interpersonal skills tailored for diverse learning groups.
- Prior experience working with women, youth, or persons with disabilities is a strong added advantage.
- Exceptional ability to foster an inclusive and empowering classroom atmosphere.
- Must be based in Abuja and fully committed to being physically available for the duration of the 12-week programme.
