About the Role: Storekeeper
The Storekeeper position is central to the smooth operation of our supply chain and inventory management. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of goods within the warehouse, from receipt to dispatch, ensuring accuracy, organization, and optimal stock levels. Your efforts will directly contribute to operational efficiency and the prevention of waste.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Storekeeper, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Managing Daily Warehouse Operations: Overseeing the comprehensive daily activities within the warehouse, ensuring all processes run smoothly and efficiently.
- Receiving, Storing, and Issuing Goods: Meticulously handling incoming deliveries, ensuring proper storage according to established protocols, and accurately issuing goods as required.
- Tracking Inventory Levels: Maintaining precise and up-to-date records of all inventory, performing regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Inspecting Deliveries for Damage: Thoroughly inspecting all incoming goods for any damage or discrepancies against purchase orders, and reporting issues promptly.
- Maintaining Accurate Stock Records: Utilizing inventory management systems to keep precise records of stock movements, locations, and quantities.
- Preventing Shortages and Minimizing Waste: Proactively monitoring stock levels to prevent shortages, implementing strategies to reduce waste, and optimizing storage solutions.
- Ensuring Efficient Material Handling and Organization: Developing and maintaining an organized warehouse layout, ensuring safe and efficient material handling practices are followed.
