About the Role: Stock Officer (Stockist)

As a Stock Officer, you will be at the heart of our supply chain, responsible for managing our inventory from receipt to dispatch. Your expertise will ensure optimal stock levels, prevent discrepancies, and facilitate the smooth flow of goods vital to our diagnostic services. This role demands a proactive approach to inventory control, diligent record-keeping, and close collaboration with various internal teams.

Key Responsibilities:

Receive, meticulously inspect, and accurately record all incoming goods and supplies, ensuring compliance with quality standards.
Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date inventory records, documenting all stock movements with precision.
Proactively monitor stock levels, identifying needs for replenishment and collaborating with procurement to ensure timely orders.
Conduct regular, thorough stock counts and skillfully reconcile any inventory discrepancies to uphold data accuracy.
Efficiently issue stock to relevant departments, ensuring all transactions are properly documented and authorized.
Prepare periodic inventory and stock valuation reports, providing critical insights for financial planning and operational strategy.
Collaborate closely with the accounts and procurement teams to ensure seamless integration of inventory data with financial records.
Champion a clean, organized, and secure store environment, adhering to best practices for stock preservation and accessibility.

Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Accounting, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a closely related discipline.
Demonstrated experience in accounting, coupled with a robust understanding of inventory and stock control processes.
Previous experience as a Stock Officer, Storekeeper, Inventory Officer, or a similar role is a distinct advantage.
Possess strong numerical and analytical skills, enabling effective data interpretation and problem-solving.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other Microsoft Office applications is essential for record-keeping and reporting.
Exhibit a high level of accuracy, integrity, and exceptional attention to detail in all tasks.
Excellent organizational, communication, and record-keeping skills are paramount for success in this role.
