About the Role: Software Project Management Assistant/Manager

We are looking for a dedicated full-time Software Project Manager who can ensure excellent execution of activities within planned timelines and scope, demonstrating initiative and working effectively with minimal supervision. We are also open to considering freelance candidates for this pivotal role.

In this position, you will be instrumental in applying cutting-edge software development methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban to drive agile product development. Your efforts will ensure that high-quality products are meticulously crafted based on user-defined requirements, ultimately contributing to our mission of a healthier world.

Key Responsibilities

As a Software Project Management Assistant/Manager, your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following vital tasks:

Project Definition & Planning: Engaging with clients, executives, and software developers to discuss potential projects, define their parameters, and lay out comprehensive blueprints. This includes meticulously defining scope, allocating resources, setting realistic deadlines, establishing clear communication strategies, and outlining testing and maintenance plans.
Team Leadership: Assembling and effectively leading diverse project teams, fostering collaboration, and ensuring alignment with project goals.
Project Oversight: Actively participating in and supervising each stage of the project lifecycle, from conception to completion, ensuring adherence to best practices and quality standards.
Schedule & Budget Management: Meticulously ensuring each project stays on schedule and adheres strictly to deadlines. You will also be responsible for creating a project budget and vigilantly ensuring the project adheres to it as closely as possible.
Quality Assurance: Determining and overseeing consistent testing, evaluation, and troubleshooting of all products at every stage of completion to guarantee robust and reliable solutions.
Tracking & Reporting: Diligently tracking milestones, deliverables, and managing change requests throughout the project lifecycle.
Stakeholder Communication: Serving as a crucial liaison to communicate pertinent information regarding changes, milestones reached, and other vital updates to all relevant stakeholders.
Post-Launch Support: Delivering completed software products to clients and conducting regular checks on the products’ performance to ensure ongoing success and satisfaction.

Qualifications and Skills We Are Looking For

To excel in this role, we require a candidate with the following qualifications and demonstrable skills:

Educational Background: A minimum of a B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Project Management, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or a closely related field.
Experience: A minimum of three (3) years of working experience as a Software/IT Project Assistant/Manager.
Technical Acumen: Experience in software development is a significant advantage.
Data & IT Proficiency: Required experience in data analysis or information technology.
Tool Proficiency: Good knowledge of software project management tools such as Trello, ClickUp, Asana, MS Project, Google Sheets, etc., and familiarity with agile development methodologies.
Multitasking Ability: An exceptional ability to work on multiple projects and tasks simultaneously without compromising quality.
Strategic Understanding: A good understanding of outsourcing principles and practices.
Attention to Detail: Great attention to detail and a highly organized approach to work are paramount.
Core Competencies: Proven skills in project planning and execution, requirements gathering, and accurate estimation.
