The Role: Software Engineer
In this role, you will be instrumental in designing, building, and deploying cutting-edge product enhancements. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, write high-quality server-side code, and ensure that Appzone’s financial platforms remain robust, secure, and highly scalable.
Key Responsibilities
- Product Development: Lead the end-to-end development of product enhancements from design to deployment.
- Coding & Implementation: Write clean, high-quality, and maintainable code primarily in C# and the .NET Framework (knowledge of other server-side languages is highly valued).
- Collaboration: Partner with the development team to understand and design solutions that meet diverse business needs.
- System Architecture & Reliability: Work with modern containerization technologies (Docker) and messaging services (Kafka, Azure Service Bus) to maintain system scalability.
- Quality Assurance: Conduct robust testing, participate in code reviews, and troubleshoot/perform root-cause analysis on application issues.
- Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and growth-oriented team environment.
Job Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:
- Education: BSc in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- Experience: 3+ years of professional software development experience.
- Technical Stack: Strong command of C#, .NET Framework, and SQL databases. Familiarity with frontend web-based technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
- Cloud & DevOps: Practical experience with system design, containerization (Docker), and messaging systems (Kafka, Azure Service Bus, etc.).
- Industry Knowledge: Prior experience with core banking, card issuance, merchant services, or loan automation software in the fintech sector is highly preferred.
- Soft Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and the ability to lead projects independently.
