To support its continuous academic and operational excellence, the university is recruiting a Senior Specialist, HRIS & Data Analytics.
Role Overview
The Senior Specialist, HRIS & Data Analytics will lead the administration, optimization, and governance of Nile University’s Human Resource Information System (HRIS). This critical role bridges human resources, technology, and data science, ensuring that the institution's HR platforms align with strategic objectives, remain highly secure, and deliver actionable insights for executive decision-making.
Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to perform the following duties:
- System Governance & Optimization: Lead the administration, governance, and continuous improvement of the HRIS to align with evolving organizational strategies.
- Policy & Standard Formulation: Develop and enforce HRIS policies, data standards, and security frameworks to ensure maximum system integrity and compliance with data protection laws.
- Tech Solution Evaluation: Identify and implement innovative HR technology solutions that streamline workflows, enhance efficiency, and elevate the employee experience.
- Process Automation: Partner with HR stakeholders and leadership to identify operational bottlenecks and deploy sustainable, automated solutions within the HRIS.
- Vendor & IT Collaboration: Work closely with internal IT teams and external software vendors to manage system upgrades, API integrations, and troubleshooting.
- Advanced Data Analytics: Analyze comprehensive datasets (including compensation, demographics, performance metrics, and recruitment trends) to generate strategic reports and workforce planning insights.
- User Training & Support: Act as the primary technical point of contact for system issues, creating training manuals and delivering workshops to ensure adoption across departments.
- Digital Platform Maintenance: Manage and continuously improve HR web portals, employee self-service platforms, and digital application tools.
Required Qualifications & Experience
To be considered for this role, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Information Systems, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in HRIS administration, database management, or system implementation (experience within a higher education setting is highly desirable).
- Technical Skills: Proven proficiency in leading HRIS platforms such as SAP, Oracle HCM, Workday, PeopleSoft, or equivalent systems.
- Analytical Capability: Excellent data manipulation, reporting, and metrics generation skills to assist leadership with workforce analytics.
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
The performance of the Senior Specialist will be measured against high standards, including:
- Maintaining HRIS data accuracy at or above 98%.
- Achieving 100% successful delivery of HRIS-related projects within budgets and timelines.
- Maintaining a record of zero major data privacy or security breaches.
- Resolving 100% of data discrepancies and system critical vendor issues within defined SLAs.
- Providing at least 4 actionable HR analytics insights/reports annually to support strategic planning.
- Maintaining less than 2% reporting errors requiring administrative correction.
- Attaining a 90% or higher stakeholder satisfaction rating for HRIS services and user support.
