We are building the platform to power the next generation of financial services, helping companies expand financial access through our powerful banking-as-a-service API.

The Role

As a Senior SRE at Duplo, you will be at the heart of our engineering operations. You won't just keep the lights on; you will lead technical designs, define architecture, and champion reliability standards that allow our platform to scale securely. In this high-stakes environment, you will balance technical performance with the critical need for compliance and operational safety.

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-complexity initiatives to improve backend availability, scalability, and resilience.
Design robust service boundaries and set reliability standards across the engineering organization.
Own end-to-end observability, ensuring issues are proactively addressed before they impact our customers.
Drive incident response processes, including root cause analysis and preventative postmortems.
Collaborate cross-functionally with product, finance, and compliance teams to ensure our infrastructure meets the unique demands of fintech.
Mentor junior engineers and elevate the overall operational standard of the team.

Requirements

Experience: At least 7 years in SRE, DevOps, or backend infrastructure roles.
Technical Stack: Deep expertise in AWS, Kubernetes, and Docker.
Database Proficiency: Practical experience operating PostgreSQL and Redis at scale.
Observability: Proficiency with tools like Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK.
Automation: Strong programming ability (TypeScript preferred) for tooling and CI/CD pipelines.
Fintech Mindset: A track record of operating in high-stakes, compliance-sensitive environments.
Communication: Exceptional ability to communicate technical trade-offs to stakeholders across the business.
