We are currently seeking a dynamic and strategic Senior Coordinator, GIS / Data Analyst to join our team in Kwara, Nigeria.

As a Senior Coordinator, you will play a critical role in our GIS and Data Management Department. You will not only provide technical leadership but also serve as a strategic partner, ensuring our spatial intelligence drives impactful health interventions, from disease surveillance to emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop organizational spatial strategies and geospatial system architecture that ensure scalability and sustainability.
Insight Generation: Translate complex spatial datasets into actionable geographic intelligence for donors, leadership, and field teams.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, M&E, and research teams to integrate GIS into our broader analytics platforms and reporting ecosystems.
Innovation & Governance: Oversee the implementation of GIS dashboards and mobile tools while ensuring strict adherence to data governance and ethical sharing standards.
Mentorship: Manage GIS teams and workflows, fostering a culture of excellence and high-performance analytical standards.

What We Are Looking For

We are searching for a results-focused leader who understands both the technical intricacies of GIS and the broader programmatic needs of the development sector.

Education: A Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree is preferred).
Experience: 3–5 years of relevant professional experience, particularly within an NGO or data-driven development environment.
Technical Proficiency: Strong command of ArcGIS Online, Power BI, and GPS data collection tools such as ODK or Kobo.
Professional Certification: ACAP, GISP Certification, or equivalent professional standing is required.
Analytical Mindset: A natural curiosity to uncover trends and patterns that solve complex operational and public health challenges.
