At eHealth Africa, the GIS and Data Management Department is the heartbeat of their public health interventions. You will be responsible for designing and deploying predictive models, interactive dashboards, and scalable data pipelines that directly influence disease surveillance, immunization planning, and emergency responses. Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement organizational spatial strategies and data standards to ensure scalable and sustainable GIS integration.
Technical Oversight: Manage GIS service delivery, ensuring that spatial data is translated into actionable insights for stakeholders and decision-makers.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with IT, Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E), and research teams to integrate GIS with broader analytics platforms and reporting ecosystems.
Innovation: Design and implement advanced geospatial analyses, including service coverage assessments and predictive mapping.
Data Governance: Uphold rigorous metadata standards, ethical data-sharing practices, and version control protocols.

What We Are Looking For

The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with a robust technical background who is eager to apply their skills in a humanitarian context. You should possess:

A Bachelor’s degree in GIS, Geography, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the NGO or development sector.
Proficiency in ArcGIS Online, Power BI, and mobile data collection tools like ODK or Kobo.
A proactive mindset, with the ability to translate complex spatial data for non-technical audiences.
Relevant certifications such as ACAP or GISP are highly regarded.
