About the Role

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and strategic Senior Coordinator, GIS / Data Analyst to join our team in Adamawa. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for providing technical leadership in geospatial services, ensuring that our data-driven interventions are both evidence-based and highly impactful.

As a Senior Coordinator, you will bridge the gap between complex spatial data and actionable public health outcomes. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to design scalable data pipelines, manage GIS workflows, and support critical initiatives such as disease surveillance, immunization planning, and emergency response.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Leadership: Develop organizational spatial strategies and data standards to guide scalable GIS integration.
Data Integration: Collaborate with IT, M&E, and research teams to align GIS tools with broader analytics and reporting platforms.
Visualization & Insight: Design and manage interactive dashboards and mobile tools to optimize decision-making for stakeholders and donors.
Technical Oversight: Oversee advanced geospatial analyses, including catchment modeling, service coverage assessments, and predictive mapping.
Data Governance: Ensure strict adherence to metadata standards, ethical data-sharing practices, and version control.

Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor’s Degree in GIS, Geography, Environmental Science, Data Science, Public Health, or a related field (Master’s degree is highly preferred).
3–5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally within the NGO or development sector.
Proven expertise in ArcGIS Online, Power BI, and mobile data collection tools like ODK or Kobo.
Advanced knowledge of GIS surveying hardware, GPS equipment, and spatial database management.
Professional certification such as ACAP or GISP is preferred.
