About the Role

Heirs Insurance Ltd is at the forefront of digital transformation within the insurance sector. We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team and help build the robust infrastructure that powers Africa’s most ambitious digital banking and insurance platforms. This is a hands-on role for a technical visionary who thrives on designing, provisioning, and operating sophisticated, dual-cloud environments.

Key Responsibilities

Dual-Cloud Infrastructure: Architect and maintain production-grade environments across both AWS and Azure, ensuring high reliability and zero vendor dependency.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC): Utilize Terraform, Ansible, and Bash to ensure all infrastructure is version-controlled, auditable, and reproducible.
High Availability: Design systems targeting 99.99% uptime with advanced auto-scaling and failover capabilities.
Network Security: Implement a Zero Trust architecture, managing private networking, subnets, and secure entry points.
Cost Optimization: Ensure cloud resources are efficiently utilized and dynamically scaled to maintain a lean operational budget.
Compliance & Security: Uphold stringent security standards, including PCI DSS and CBN compliance, through robust encryption and identity management.

What We Are Looking For

We need a professional with at least 5 years of hands-on experience in large-scale cloud deployments. You must possess expert-level skills in Terraform and Ansible, along with a deep understanding of cloud networking and security. Our ideal candidate is a problem solver who is passionate about CI/CD integration and observability.

Core Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in AWS and Azure environments.
AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Professional) is required.
Strong background in containerization (Docker, Kubernetes).
Proven ability to manage secret and key management services.
Experience in Fintech or highly regulated environments is a significant advantage.
