Swift Networks, a leading Indigenous Internet Service Provider in Lagos, is currently seeking a skilled and safety-conscious Rigger to join our growing field operations team. The Rigger role is the backbone of our field operations. In this position, you will be responsible for the physical installation, lifting, and securing of mission-critical telecommunications equipment on towers and rooftops. Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Installation: Expertly lift, hoist, and mount antennas, microwave dishes, and transmission equipment according to engineering specifications.
- Safety Leadership: Utilize fall protection systems and safety gear while performing climbing activities. Conduct rigorous pre-job safety assessments and risk evaluations.
- Technical Execution: Operate winches, pulleys, and hoists with precision to ensure all infrastructure is securely fitted for long-term durability.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate installation logs, inventory reports, and communicate task progress effectively with project managers and field engineers.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a High School Diploma; technical or vocational certification is highly desirable.
- 2+ years of hands-on experience in tower rigging, construction, or telecommunications infrastructure.
- Proficiency in reading site plans and installation diagrams.
- Physical stamina to work at significant heights and lift equipment up to 50kg.
- Relevant certifications in Tower Climbing, Rigging, and First Aid are considered a major plus.
