Opportunity: Regulatory Manager at Johnvents Foods Limited
Johnvents Foods Limited is a fast-growing leader in the Nigerian agribusiness and commodities sector. Following the successful launch of Johnvents Pure Cocoa Powder and the establishment of our state-of-the-art cocoa processing facility in Idanre, we are continuing to expand our footprint in the production of high-quality consumer products like Oluji Pure Cocoa Powder, chocolate drinks, and cocoa-based snacks. We are currently seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Regulatory Manager to join our team.
About the Role
As our Regulatory Manager, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that Johnvents Group maintains full compliance with the increasingly complex regulatory landscape in Nigeria. You will serve as the primary bridge between our operations—spanning farming, processing, and commodity trading—and critical regulatory bodies including the SEC, CBN, NAFDAC, and the Export Promotion Council. Your leadership will be essential in mitigating risk, securing necessary permits, and upholding our commitment to national and international standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Regulatory Liaison: Lead formal communications and relationships with key regulatory agencies to ensure smooth operations.
- License Management: Oversee the full lifecycle of operational licenses, export permits, and critical industry certifications.
- Compliance Monitoring: Stay ahead of the curve by monitoring regulatory shifts and advising executive leadership on necessary strategic adjustments.
- Policy Development: Create and implement robust internal compliance frameworks that align with best-in-class operational standards.
- Reporting and Audit: Manage periodic regulatory filings and act as an internal auditor to ensure our facilities are always 'audit-ready.'
- Strategic Governance: Provide clear, actionable compliance reporting to the Board and Executive Management.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree in Law, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certification (such as CAMS) or being called to the Nigerian Bar (LLB/BL) is highly preferred.
- 5–8 years of professional experience in regulatory compliance, corporate legal, or government relations within Agribusiness, FMCG, or Financial Services.
- Strong knowledge of the Nigerian Commodities Exchange framework and import/export trade laws.
- Exceptional negotiation, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
- High level of integrity and meticulous attention to detail.
If you are a strategic thinker who thrives in a dynamic environment and is passionate about the Nigerian agribusiness sector, we invite you to apply.
