About the Role

As the Regulatory Affairs Officer, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring that the food factory operates in full compliance with local, national, and international food safety regulations, industry standards, and company policies. You will serve as a guardian of product integrity, consumer safety, and the company's esteemed reputation by proactively monitoring, auditing, and enforcing top-tier compliance practices.

Key Responsibilities

Regulatory Compliance: Monitor and interpret food safety laws, regulations, and standards (such as HACCP, ISO 22000, and NAFDAC), ensuring all factory operations meet government mandates and securing necessary permits and licenses.
Policy Development: Develop, implement, and update compliance protocols while training staff on critical hygiene practices and regulatory requirements.
Auditing & Monitoring: Conduct rigorous internal audits across production, storage, and distribution, swiftly identifying non-compliance issues and managing relationships with external regulatory agencies.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks related to food safety, labeling, packaging, and distribution while investigating breaches and enforcing preventive measures.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with production, quality assurance, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure suppliers and contractors align with company standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Food Science, Microbiology, Chemistry, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications in food safety or regulatory compliance (e.g., HACCP, ISO 22000, FSSC).
3 to 5 years of proven experience in food manufacturing compliance or regulatory affairs.
Willingness to travel within the assigned area as needed.
Strong core competencies including execution excellence, problem-solving, analytical thinking, and effective team collaboration.
