Our client is an established consulting company operating in the Agricultural, Food, and Nutrition sectors. With a strong track record of collaborating with Food and Agro-Allied industries, small and medium enterprises (SMEs), and International Development Organizations (IDOs) across Africa, they are highly regarded for their multi-sectoral advocacy. Their key areas of focus include the food system, nutrition, public health, and environmental sustainability, working in close partnership with government bodies, international NGOs, and media organizations.

Job Summary: Project / Research Associates (REF NO: PRA-026G)

We are currently seeking highly motivated, analytical, and detail-oriented candidates to join a new, high-impact initiative as Project / Research Associates. In this role, you will be part of a dynamic, digital-forward professional team tasked with providing strategic support for the visibility and implementation of a Pan-Nigeria Project.

The successful candidates will lead research activities, compile critical data, and formulate high-level reports, presentations, and proposals designed to drive policy engagement, system development, and advocacy across the nation.

Key Responsibilities

As a Project / Research Associate, your day-to-day duties will include:

• Conducting robust desk and field research across relevant sectors.
• Analysing both quantitative and qualitative data to extract actionable insights.
• Preparing technical reports, briefs, and research papers of high professional standards.
• Supporting the conceptualisation and development of project proposals.
• Contributing to evidence-based generation strategies aimed at project implementation, advocacy, and direct policy engagement with key stakeholders.

Minimum Qualifications & Requirements

Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications and professional competencies:

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree (B.Sc. or equivalent) in Food Science and Technology, Nutrition and Dietetics, Biochemistry, Agriculture, Public Health, Social Sciences, Development Studies, Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or any other relevant field.
• A minimum of 4 years of active professional experience within an Agricultural, Food, or Nutrition enterprise/consultancy.
• A postgraduate qualification (M.Sc. or Ph.D.) alongside consulting, project management, or specialized research experience will be considered an added advantage.
• Strong analytical, communication, report-writing, and interpersonal skills.
• High level of proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Prior knowledge of data analysis software, graphic design applications (e.g., Canva, CorelDRAW, Adobe Creative Suite), or digital communication tools is highly desirable.
• Proven ability to work independently, manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously, and consistently meet project deadlines.
• Willingness and flexibility to travel as required by the projects.
