Role Overview

As a Project Manager at Appzone, you will play a critical role in directing the implementation of key projects, specifically focusing on integration and solutions delivery. You will work closely with cross-functional teams comprising product managers, developers, designers, and QA engineers to deliver world-class products. This role requires exceptional organization, strategic alignment, and the ability to maintain a strong grip on project timelines, risks, and stakeholder expectations.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning & Initiation: Create detailed project plans, manage initiation documentation, and lead kickoff meetings with partner institutions.
Implementation & Integration Management: Manage channels-specific integrations and oversee multiple related projects to ensure alignment with overall strategic objectives.
Change & Deployment Control: Adapt organizational change request processes, managing project success criteria, test runs, and deployment activities.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner closely with product managers, QA engineers, developers, and designers to define and prioritize requirements and milestones.
Resource & Priority Management: Estimate resource requirements, delegate tasks effectively, and maintain a clear, updated program report of active and completed projects.
Risk Mitigation & Problem Solving: Proactively identify, track, and manage project risks and resolve issues swiftly to maintain project momentum.
Stakeholder Engagement: Engage consistently with both internal and external stakeholders to deliver status updates, address feedback, and manage expectations to ensure satisfaction.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Education: BSc or BEng in Project Management, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certifications are highly preferred.
Experience: 5+ years of active project management experience, particularly in documentation, requirement gathering, and managing full product lifecycles in a cross-functional environment.
Technical Competence: Mastery in project scheduling, monitoring, and control using Microsoft Project or other industry-standard PM tools. Deep understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes, API integrations, and e-channels.
Certifications: Practical knowledge or professional certifications in PMP, PRINCE2, or SCRUM.
Soft Skills: Exceptional written and verbal communication, analytical mindset, leadership, time management, and problem-solving skills.
Fintech Experience (An Added Advantage): Past success in delivering lending automation software, card issuance systems, core banking modules, or agency banking solutions is highly desirable.
