The Role of a Prefect of Discipline

Key Responsibilities
The successful candidate will oversee the daily behavioral standards of the students and ensure compliance with the institution's guidelines. Key duties include:
- Rules Orientation: Conducting regular briefings and orientation sessions for students regarding school rules, regulations, expectations, and values.
- Supervision & Compliance: Actively monitoring and supervising student compliance with the school's code of conduct on a day-to-day basis.
- Incident Investigation: Undertaking thorough and objective fact-finding missions regarding observed or reported breaches of conduct, ensuring fairness and integrity throughout the process.
- Disciplinary Implementation: Ensuring the fair and consistent implementation of disciplinary actions that may be imposed on an erring student, always focusing on corrective and formative outcomes.
- Collaboration: Working closely with the school administration, academic staff, and parents to support student development and address behavioral challenges constructively.
Required Qualifications and Experience
To be considered for this impactful role, candidates must possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or its equivalent from a recognized institution.
- Experience: At least two (2) years of proven experience in a similar role within an educational institution or boarding school environment is highly advantageous.
- Leadership & Interpersonal Skills: Strong leadership capabilities, with the ability to inspire trust, command respect, and resolve conflicts effectively.
- Communication: Exceptional proficiency in both oral and written English, with the ability to communicate clearly with students, parents, and colleagues.
