Role Overview

The Plant HR Business Partner will lead the delivery of end-to-end human resource solutions at the plant level. This role requires a strategic thinker who can seamlessly align corporate HR strategies with the unique and fast-paced operational demands of a manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will drive workforce optimization, industrial relations, talent development, and employee engagement to foster a high-performance culture.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

As the Plant HR Business Partner, you will be expected to:

  • Strategic HR Partnership: Act as a trusted advisor to Plant Management, providing strategic guidance on workforce planning, organizational design, and talent management.
  • Policy Implementation: Drive the seamless execution of corporate HR policies, frameworks, and initiatives at the plant level.
  • Talent Acquisition & Management: Oversee manpower planning, recruitment, and the strategic deployment of skilled talent to meet operational needs.
  • Industrial & Employee Relations: Manage employee relations, handle grievances, and champion industrial relations strategies in full compliance with local labor regulations.
  • Performance & L&D: Lead performance management processes, including goal setting and reviews, while identifying learning and development interventions to upskill the workforce.
  • Analytics & Compliance: Monitor HR metrics to optimize plant productivity and ensure complete alignment with statutory labor laws and internal governance standards.
  • Change Management: Facilitate and drive change management initiatives that support the plant’s evolving business needs.

Job Requirements

To be considered for this high-impact leadership position, candidates must possess:

  • A minimum of 15 years of progressive HR experience, with at least 5 years operating at the Head of Department (HOD) level.
  • Proven experience working within a plant or manufacturing operations environment (this is highly mandatory).
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, or any of the Social Sciences.
  • An additional degree or qualification in Engineering or a related technical field is considered a strong advantage.
  • Must be a registered, chartered HR practitioner with recognized bodies such as CIPMN, SHRM, or CIPD.
