About the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC)
Established in February 1988 by the Federal Government through Decree No. 45 of 1988 (as amended by Decree 35 of 1992 and codified as the FRSC Act Cap 141 Laws of the Federation of Nigeria, later enacted by the National Assembly as the FRSC Establishment Act 2007), the FRSC is the premier government agency tasked with road safety administration in Nigeria.
The core functions of the Commission center on:
- Making the highway safe for motorists and other road users.
- Recommending works and devices designed to eliminate or minimize accidents on the highways and advising the Federal and State Governments, including the Federal Capital Territory Administration, on the strategic locations where these works are needed.
- Educating motorists and members of the public on the importance of absolute discipline on the highways.
The Role: Officer Cadre
As a member of the Officer Cadre, you will form part of the leadership and administrative backbone of the Corps.
