The Role: Operational Excellence During the Overnight Shift

As the Night Manager, you will serve as the senior representative of management during overnight hours. You will hold the vital responsibility of ensuring seamless hotel operations, supervising night-shift personnel, managing financial reconciliation processes (night audits), and maintaining top-tier guest satisfaction, safety, and compliance. This role is perfect for a highly responsible, detail-oriented leader who can work independently, handle pressure with ease, and manage emergency situations with composure.

Key Responsibilities

• Night Operations Management: Oversee all overnight hotel functions, ensuring that front office, housekeeping, security, and maintenance activities perform smoothly and align with company standards.
• Guest Service & Satisfaction: Act as the primary point of contact for guest inquiries. Promptly resolve complaints, manage late arrivals, early departures, and ensure a professional, VIP-worthy experience for all guests.
• Financial & Night Audit Oversight: Supervise the night audit process, ensuring accurate daily financial reconciliation, reviewing revenue reports, and reporting any billing discrepancies to management.
• Team Supervision: Supervise, guide, and support night shift staff (front desk, security, housekeeping, and maintenance), ensuring productivity and strict adherence to hotel policies.
• Safety, Security, & Compliance: Lead night inspections of the property to mitigate risks, monitor security systems, ensure the absolute safety of guests and staff, and coordinate response plans during emergencies.
• Reporting & Coordination: Prepare and submit detailed night shift reports to ensure seamless shift handovers and document overnight occurrences for the daytime management team.

Required Experience and Qualifications

To succeed in this leadership position, candidates should possess the following qualifications and skills:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Hospitality Management or a related field.
• Professional Experience: A minimum of 5–8 years of experience in hotel operations, with at least 2–3 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity. Direct experience in front office or night audit operations is highly desirable.
• Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of hotel Property Management Systems (PMS) and financial reconciliation processes.
• Key Competencies: Excellent decision-making, customer service, and problem-solving skills, coupled with a high level of integrity and professionalism.
• Certifications: Professional hospitality certifications are a major advantage.
