The Role at a Glance

As a Mobile App Developer at MECA, you will play a pivotal role in designing, building, and maintaining high-quality mobile applications for both iOS and Android platforms. Working closely with cross-functional teams, you will transform concepts into reliable, performant, and user-friendly mobile experiences. Key Responsibilities

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Design, develop, and maintain high-performing mobile applications for iOS and Android platforms.
• Build reusable, testable, and highly efficient code using native or cross-platform frameworks.
• Integrate mobile applications seamlessly with back-end APIs and third-party services.
• Ensure application performance, responsiveness, and outstanding quality across a wide range of devices.
• Collaborate with UI/UX designers to implement intuitive, visually appealing, and user-friendly mobile interfaces.
• Identify, troubleshoot, and fix bugs and performance bottlenecks in existing applications.
• Manage app store submissions, updates, and overall release cycles.
• Stay updated on the latest mobile platform guidelines, updates, and industry best practices.

Required Qualifications and Experience

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
• Experience: 3–5 years of professional mobile application development experience.
• React Native: Strong, demonstrated working proficiency in React Native is required.
• TypeScript: Strong, demonstrated working proficiency in TypeScript is required.
• API Integration: Proven experience integrating RESTful APIs and handling local data storage.
• UI/UX Design Principles: A solid understanding of mobile UI/UX guidelines (Material Design for Android and iOS Human Interface Guidelines).
• Tools: Familiarity with version control (Git) and mobile CI/CD pipelines.
• Problem-Solving: Strong debugging and analytical skills.
• Store Deployment: Practical experience with app store submission and release processes for Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Added Advantages

While not strictly mandatory, candidates with the following experience will be highly preferred:

• Experience with native iOS and Android development.
• Familiarity with push notifications, in-app purchases, and analytics SDKs.
• Strong knowledge of mobile security best practices and performance optimization techniques.
• Experience working with automated testing frameworks for mobile platforms (such as XCTest, Espresso, or Detox).
