What You Will Do

In this role, you will be the backbone of our Unix and Linux operations. Your responsibilities will include:

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and maintain Red Hat, Solaris, and Oracle Linux environments.
• Lifecycle & Maintenance: Lead technology refresh initiatives, perform kernel fine-tuning, and ensure seamless patch management using Red Hat Satellite or Oracle Enterprise Manager.
• System Monitoring: Proactively manage server performance, processor utilization, and disk space to ensure optimal health of our portal environments.
• High Availability: Leverage your expertise in clustering to maintain uptime and troubleshoot complex failover issues.
• Security & Hardening: Work alongside the security team to implement CIS benchmarks, manage SELinux/Firewalld, and conduct system audits.

Who You Are

We are looking for a dedicated professional who meets the following criteria:

• Education: A Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Experience: A minimum of 4–6 years of hands-on experience in Unix/Linux administration.
• Certifications: RHCSA or RHCE is essential. Additional certifications in Oracle/Solaris or VMware are highly advantageous. An ITIL v4 Foundation certification is also highly valued.
• Technical Skills: Proficient in scripting (Bash, Python, or Perl) and deeply familiar with enterprise-grade virtualization and security hardening.
• Soft Skills: A sharp, analytical mind with the ability to perform under pressure and manage vendor relationships effectively.
