The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated legal expert to provide comprehensive support across our diverse operational portfolio. In this role, you will be instrumental in managing legal risks, ensuring regulatory compliance, and facilitating high-stakes transactions within the real estate and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert legal counsel on complex real estate and construction transactions.
- Draft, review, and negotiate robust contracts and legal documentation.
- Conduct thorough due diligence for land acquisitions and property portfolios.
- Manage the perfection of title documents and government agency liaison.
- Represent the company in litigation, arbitration, and mediation proceedings.
- Ensure stringent adherence to corporate governance and statutory requirements.
- Mitigate operational risks by advising management on employment and commercial law.
Qualifications and Experience
- LL.B and B.L. from recognized institutions.
- A minimum of 10 years of post-call experience, specifically within the real estate and construction industry.
- Current membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with a valid practicing license.
- Profound knowledge of property law, land documentation, and construction contracts.
- Strong analytical, drafting, and negotiation capabilities.
