The Role Overview

As a Mid-Level Developer at Triax Technologies, you are the ultimate builder. You are expected to be technically solid and highly trustworthy with sensitive database structures and transaction systems. While you won't be expected to carry the entire team or architect massive systems from scratch on day one, you must have the independence and technical maturity to ship high-quality features under the guidance of a team lead.

Key Responsibilities

• Feature Development: Build, test, and deploy features across the entire software stack to the exact standards and architecture set by the engineering leadership.
• Clean Code Mastery: Write clean, secure, and maintainable code, with an uncompromising focus on financial transactions and customer data safety.
• Integrations: Implement and maintain robust integrations with third-party APIs and external enterprise services.
• Collaborative Code Reviews: Actively participate in peer code reviews—both giving constructive feedback and receiving input—to cultivate a culture of shared quality.
• Methodical Debugging: Investigate and resolve bugs in existing systems, focusing on addressing the root causes rather than applying temporary patches.
• Deployment & Support: Support deployment pipelines and respond to production issues within your scope, escalating complex matters when necessary.
• Clear Documentation: Maintain clear, precise documentation so that the systems you build can be seamlessly understood and maintained by current and future teammates.

Required Qualifications and Technical Skills

• Practical Experience: Two to four (2–4) years of hands-on software development experience, ideally working on live production systems with active, real-world users.
• Stack Versatility: Strong competence in at least one back-end programming language and framework, coupled with solid front-end fundamentals. You should understand how browsers work, how application state flows, and how to build responsive interfaces that function flawlessly on mid-range Android devices with patchy internet connections.
• Database Fundamentals: A strong grip on database operations, transactions, and performance. You must understand why a half-completed financial operation is hazardous and how to write optimized queries that do not choke under heavy load or expose security gaps.
• Web Security: A practical, working grasp of common web vulnerabilities and standard defenses. You should understand password hashing, data encryption, and why customer data deserves the highest level of confidentiality.
• Debugging Temperament: An analytical and calm approach to troubleshooting. When a system fails, you investigate the data and isolate the issue methodically rather than guessing or thrashing code.

Nice-to-Have Criteria

• Previous exposure to API integrations and version control systems (e.g., Git).
• Familiarity with modern deployment pipelines and continuous integration (CI/CD) environments.
• Prior experience in the FinTech, InsurTech, or highly regulated data sectors is a major plus.
• Disposition: Coachable, honest about technical limits, and comfortable saying, "I'm not sure, but here is how I will find out," rather than bluffing. You should also be reliable when handling the unglamorous but vital tasks, not just the high-profile features.
