About the Role: Inventory Manager

We are currently seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Inventory Manager to join our dynamic team in Lagos. This pivotal role is critical for ensuring the precision and integrity of inventory, overseeing robust inventory control processes, and maintaining optimal stock levels across our assigned warehouses. Key Responsibilities

Inventory Oversight and Accuracy: Take full charge of all inventory transactions, meticulously ensuring stock accuracy and integrity across designated warehouses. Your vigilance will be key to maintaining reliable inventory data.
Reconciliation and Discrepancy Resolution: Proactively conduct thorough stock reconciliations and regular cycle counts. You will be responsible for investigating and resolving any inventory discrepancies swiftly and effectively, identifying root causes to prevent recurrence.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting: Develop and prepare comprehensive inventory reports, monitoring key inventory performance indicators (KPIs) against established targets. Your insights will drive strategic decisions.
Cross-functional Collaboration: Foster strong collaborative relationships with various internal teams, including Warehouse Operations, Sales, Procurement, Finance, and Logistics, to ensure seamless information flow and collective maintenance of inventory accuracy.
Continuous Improvement: Champion and drive initiatives for continuous improvement in inventory control processes. You will also provide crucial operational support across all assigned locations, ensuring efficiency and compliance.

Requirements

To excel in this role, we are looking for a candidate who possesses:

Educational Background: A Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, or a closely related field.
Professional Experience: 3–5 years of progressive experience in Inventory Management, Warehouse Operations, or Supply Chain roles, specifically within the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), Manufacturing, or Distribution sectors. This industry-specific experience is vital.
Core Competencies: Strong, proven knowledge and practical experience in inventory control principles, stock reconciliation techniques, efficient warehouse operations, and comprehensive inventory reporting methodologies.
Technical Proficiency: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel is essential. Furthermore, demonstrable experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems such as Business Central, Odoo, SAP, or similar platforms will be a significant advantage.
