The Role: ICT Officer

As our ICT Officer, you will be the cornerstone of our technology operations. Your expertise will be crucial in keeping our systems running smoothly, supporting our staff, and safeguarding our digital assets. Key Responsibilities: What You'll Do

• Infrastructure Management: Install, configure, and meticulously maintain computer hardware and software to ensure optimal performance. You will also manage and monitor our network infrastructure and internet connectivity, guaranteeing seamless operations.
• Technical Support & Troubleshooting: Be the go-to expert for technical support, assisting users across all departments. You will proficiently troubleshoot hardware, software, and system-related issues, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity.
• Data Security & Integrity: Implement and oversee data backup and recovery procedures, ensuring the safety and availability of critical information. You will actively monitor system security, protecting company data from unauthorized access and potential threats.
• System Administration: Manage email systems, user accounts, and provide essential support for specialized applications such as POS systems, inventory software, and accounting applications.
• Maintenance & Upgrades: Coordinate and execute software upgrades and system maintenance activities, keeping our technology stack current and secure.
• Asset Management & Reporting: Maintain accurate ICT asset registers and equipment records. You will also prepare periodic ICT performance and maintenance reports, providing valuable insights into our IT health.
• Training & Empowerment: Empower our staff by providing training on the proper and efficient use of our technology systems.

Who We're Looking For: Qualifications & Experience

To thrive in this role, you should possess a strong foundation in information technology and practical experience in a support-oriented environment:

• Education: A Bachelor's Degree or HND in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline is essential.
• Experience: A minimum of 3 years' relevant ICT support experience, demonstrating your ability to handle diverse technical challenges.
• Certifications (Advantageous): Professional certifications such as CCNA, Microsoft, or CompTIA certifications will be a significant advantage, showcasing your specialized expertise.
