The Opportunity: Head of Academics at CIFM
As the Chief Academic Officer of CIFM, the Head of Academics holds a profoundly strategic position. This role is entrusted with the critical responsibility of setting the academic direction, meticulously crafting curriculum, fostering outstanding faculty leadership, championing research advancement, upholding rigorous quality assurance, and ultimately ensuring an unparalleled student experience. Key Responsibilities in this Strategic Role
The successful candidate will be at the helm of academic excellence, with responsibilities encompassing:
- Strategic Academic Leadership: Formulating, articulating, and driving the overarching academic strategy for CIFM, aligning it with industry needs and global best practices.
- Programme Development & Delivery: Conceptualising, developing, and overseeing the delivery of high-quality, impactful academic and professional training programmes that meet the evolving demands of the market.
- Curriculum Management & Accreditation: Leading all aspects of curriculum development, review, and continuous improvement, ensuring programmes are robust, relevant, and secure appropriate accreditation.
- Faculty Leadership & Development: Attracting, recruiting, nurturing, and developing a team of highly qualified and dedicated faculty members, fostering an environment of academic rigor and professional growth.
- Student Experience Excellence: Overseeing student admissions, monitoring academic progress, and championing initiatives that enhance the overall student learning journey and experience.
- Research & Industry Engagement: Spearheading research initiatives, promoting scholarly activities, and forging strategic partnerships with industry stakeholders to ensure programmes remain cutting-edge and industry-relevant.
- Quality Assurance & Compliance: Implementing robust quality assurance frameworks and ensuring strict compliance with all academic and regulatory standards.
- Resource Management: Efficiently managing academic budgets and resources to maximise impact and achieve strategic objectives.
Who We Are Looking For: Ideal Candidate Profile
We are seeking an individual with a distinguished academic background, proven leadership capabilities, and a passion for shaping the next generation of professionals. The ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master of Science Degree in Insurance, Finance, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline from a reputable institution.
- A strong preference for candidates holding AIIN or FIIN qualifications, demonstrating deep industry expertise.
- Between 7 to 10 years of progressive working experience in academic leadership roles, with a significant portion in senior positions.
- Demonstrated expertise in curriculum development and experience in designing and delivering high-impact executive education programmes.
- A solid foundation in academic leadership coupled with pertinent knowledge of the insurance and/or finance industry.
- A proven track record of building academic credibility, fostering programme growth, and enhancing institutional reputation.
