The Opportunity: Head, IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture

The core purpose of this role is to be the architect of Polaris Bank's technological future. The Head, IT Strategy & Enterprise Architecture will be responsible for defining, developing, and governing the bank's enterprise architecture and overarching technology roadmap. This critical function ensures that all technology initiatives are seamlessly aligned with the broader business strategy, fostering growth, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities will include:

Leading the formulation and execution of the bank's IT strategy, ensuring it supports and enables business objectives.
Designing and maintaining the enterprise architecture framework, standards, and principles.
Guiding the selection and implementation of new technologies to optimize existing systems and introduce innovative solutions.
Ensuring that the technology roadmap addresses current and future business needs, maintaining a competitive edge.
Providing leadership and expertise in enterprise-level architectural decisions, promoting best practices across the organization.

Who We Are Looking For

Polaris Bank is searching for a seasoned professional with a robust background in technology strategy and enterprise architecture, coupled with a deep understanding of the financial sector's unique demands.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a closely related discipline is essential.

Experience:

Candidates must possess a minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in Enterprise Architecture, Solution Design, or Technology Strategy. This experience should demonstrate a track record of successfully leading and delivering complex IT initiatives within a large organizational context, preferably in the financial services industry.

Certifications:

To excel in this role, specific industry certifications are highly valued and often indicative of a strong foundational knowledge and commitment to architectural best practices:

TOGAF: The Open Group Architecture Framework certification.
Zachman: Zachman Framework certification.
Azure/AWS Architecture Certifications: Demonstrable expertise in cloud architecture with either Microsoft Azure or Amazon Web Services is a significant advantage.
