Key Responsibilities
As a Graduate Assistant in Information Technology, you will play an active role in supporting the academic and research missions of the university. Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting senior academic staff in preparing lectures, tutorials, and practical lab sessions.
- Supporting undergraduate students in understanding complex IT concepts, programming languages, and system architectures.
- Participating in departmental research initiatives, data collection, and academic publications.
- Overseeing and maintaining the university's IT laboratories to ensure a safe, organized, and productive learning environment.
- Grading assignments, quizzes, and practical tests under the supervision of senior faculty members.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this position, candidates must meet the following criteria:
- Possess academic qualifications prescribed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and relevant professional regulatory bodies for the Information Technology programme.
- Possession of relevant postgraduate qualifications or being actively enrolled/eligible for postgraduate studies in Information Technology or a closely related field.
- Duly registered and licensed by the appropriate professional regulatory body, as applicable to the specific academic position.
- Demonstrable evidence of teaching, research, or laboratory experience (highly advantageous).
- Excellent communication skills, technical proficiency, and a strong passion for academic research and mentoring.
- Note: While a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree is listed as an added advantage for medicine programmes, IT applicants will be strictly evaluated based on their relevant tech and computational academic backgrounds.
