Key Responsibilities
- Safely transport staff, goods, materials, and company assets to designated locations.
- Ensure timely pick-up and delivery while strictly adhering to assigned schedules and routes.
- Conduct thorough routine vehicle inspections before and after trips to guarantee absolute roadworthiness.
- Maintain the cleanliness and general upkeep of the assigned vehicle at all times.
- Monitor fuel levels, engine oil, tire pressure, and other essential vehicle maintenance requirements.
- Strictly comply with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and internal company driving policies.
- Keep accurate, up-to-date records of trips, mileage, fuel consumption, and vehicle maintenance schedules.
- Promptly report any vehicle faults, accidents, or maintenance issues to management.
- Assist with the loading and unloading of goods as required.
- Ensure all vehicle documents—including licenses, insurance, and registrations—remain valid and updated.
- Plan routes effectively in advance to bypass unnecessary delays and maximize operational efficiency.
- Maintain a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and proper conduct as a representative of the company.
Candidate Requirements & Qualifications
- Minimum of an SSCE/OND qualification or equivalent academic background.
- Possession of a valid Driver’s License complemented by a clean driving record.
- 2 to 5 years of proven professional driving experience.
- Comprehensive knowledge of local road safety regulations and traffic laws.
- Strong familiarity with local routes, highways, and navigation tools within assigned operating areas.
- Basic knowledge of routine vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting.
- Good communication, interpersonal skills, and professional conduct.
- Flexibility to work varying hours, including weekends when business needs dictate.
- Physical fitness, endurance, and the capability to handle long-distance driving when necessary.
