The facility boasts a rated milling capacity of over 8,000 metric tons per day across 10 integrated mills, supported by modern storage silos holding up to 191,000 metric tons and a combined power generation capacity of 60 megawatts. FMN is currently looking to recruit a dedicated, highly organized, and strategic professional to join its world-class team as a Dispatch Manager.
Purpose of the Job
The Dispatch Manager will oversee and manage daily dispatch operations, ensuring the timely, accurate, and cost-effective delivery of goods while strictly maintaining compliance with safety regulations, transport laws, and corporate standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Daily Dispatch Supervision: Supervise and coordinate daily dispatch activities to ensure on-time and accurate delivery of FMN products.
- Route & Fleet Optimization: Monitor real-time vehicle movements and optimize route planning to boost operational efficiency and reduce fuel consumption.
- Regulatory & Safety Compliance: Ensure all transportation processes adhere to transit safety standards, regulatory laws, and internal policies.
- Team Leadership & Coaching: Lead, mentor, and evaluate dispatch personnel to optimize productivity and performance.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborate closely with Warehouse, Logistics, and Supply Chain departments for seamless, end-to-end dispatch activities.
- Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze dispatch performance metrics and prepare comprehensive reports to support continuous operational improvements.
- Issue Resolution: Promptly resolve delivery disruptions, transit delays, and customer complaints.
- Record Management: Maintain accurate dispatch records, vehicle logs, fuel consumption accounts, and administrative operational documentation.
- Cost Optimization: Design and implement cost-saving initiatives to optimize fleet utilization and trim transportation overheads.
- Fleet Maintenance: Oversee preventive maintenance and fleet utilization to minimize vehicle downtime and ensure constant operational readiness.

- High proficiency in modern logistics, fleet, and dispatch management systems, with the resilience to work efficiently under pressure.
Qualifications and Experience
- Education: HND or Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or any other related discipline.
- Experience: A minimum of 5 years of active experience in Dispatch, Logistics, or Transportation Management.
- Industry Experience: Experience within the Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG), Manufacturing, or Transport industry will be an added advantage.
