About the Role
As a Data Entry Operator, you will play a critical role in ensuring the integrity and accessibility of vital medical information. You will be responsible for the accurate input of patient records, prescription details, and clinical data, directly contributing to ALIMA’s ability to provide life-saving treatment to vulnerable populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management: Accurately input and maintain medical data into the mission database following established ALIMA protocols.
- Reporting: Assist in the compilation of data from various health facilities and generate statistical reports for the medical team.
- Quality Control: Actively search for missing data, update existing patient files, and ensure all records are consistent and error-free.
- Confidentiality: Uphold the highest standards of privacy and data security regarding all patient information.
- Maintenance: Perform regular data backups and ensure the workspace and filing systems are organized and secure.
Requirements for Success
To be considered for this role, you should possess the following qualifications:
- Education: A Diploma in Statistics, Laboratory Technology, or a closely related field.
- Experience: At least 1 year of proven experience in data entry; prior experience with an NGO is highly desirable.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong computer skills (Word, Excel, Access) and the ability to learn specialized software like EpiData, EpiInfo, or DHIS.
- Language: Fluency in English is essential; knowledge of local languages is a plus.
- Professional Skills: Demonstrated commitment, flexibility, strong stress management, and a result-oriented mindset.
