Moniepoint Inc. is a premier financial technology company dedicated to digitizing Africa’s real economy. By building an all-in-one financial ecosystem, Moniepoint provides businesses with the crucial payment, banking, credit, and business management tools they need to succeed and grow. If you are passion-driven, meticulous, and eager to make a direct impact on the retail economy, this is your opportunity to join a fast-paced, innovative team.
Job Purpose
As a Data Entry Officer (South East) for Moniepoint, you will ensure that customer accounts, product catalogs, inventory records, and pricing data are accurately entered and maintained within the Moniebook platform. Working closely with Onboarding Specialists and Account Managers, you will keep our data clean and reliable from day one. Your work will enable fast go-lives, accurate reporting, and a seamless operational experience for retail customers. Success in this role is measured by your attention to detail, speedy turnaround times, and your contribution to a scalable, error-free operations foundation.
Key Responsibilities
Your day-to-day responsibilities will cross several crucial operational areas:
- Data Entry & Record Management: Input, update, and maintain crucial merchant data such as product catalogues, SKUs, pricing, inventory levels, and customer profiles. You will also process bulk data imports from spreadsheets and CSV files, validating their format and completeness before uploading them to the platform.
- Onboarding Data Support: Prepare merchant accounts ahead of their onboarding phase by populating required configuration data within agreed timelines. You will review templates submitted by merchants, identify missing fields, and proactively resolve gaps.
- Data Validation & Quality Assurance: Perform regular checks to identify and correct data errors, duplicates, or outdated records. You will cross-reference data across spreadsheets, our CRM, and the POS backend to ensure consistency.
- Process & Documentation: Maintain precise records of data entry activities, import logs, and correction histories. You will document common errors and help build a shared internal knowledge base to prevent future mistakes.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Fulfill ad-hoc data requests from Onboarding Specialists, Account Managers, and Support teams within agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
What Success Looks Like
To thrive in this role, you will aim to achieve the following performance milestones:
- Maintain a 99%+ data entry accuracy rate across all merchant account builds and catalogue uploads.
- Ensure zero go-live delays attributable to data readiness.
- Fulfill all ad-hoc data requests within defined SLA windows.
- Keep the open task backlog below 5% at any given time.
- Achieve an average feedback rating of 4.5+ out of 5 from internal Onboarding Specialists and Account Managers.
Qualifications and Requirements
We are looking for candidates who meet the following profile:
- Experience: 1-3 years in data entry, data operations, or a similar role—preferably within the SaaS, retail tech, or fintech space.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets (including data cleaning, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, and basic formulas). Familiarity with CRM platforms or POS/back-office SaaS tools is highly desirable.
- Key Attributes: Exceptional attention to detail, highly organized, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
- Preferred Qualities: Experience with bulk CSV imports, data migration, or catalogue management. Exposure to retail operations, inventory systems, or supporting onboarding/customer success teams is a major plus.
- Location: The candidate should ideally be based in Onitsha Central.
About You
You are obsessively detail-oriented and take pride in managing pristine, clean data. You are a process-driven and proactive team player who can identify and flag potential workflow issues before they escalate. Even under high pressure, you remain calm and perform efficiently without cutting corners.
