The Role
As our Business Development Manager, you will be the driving force behind our market expansion. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to define strategies, forge high-value partnerships, and scale our presence across both private and public sectors. You will manage the entire sales cycle, from prospecting and product demonstrations to contract negotiation and long-term relationship management.
Key Responsibilities
- Strategic Growth: Identify market trends and develop actionable strategies to penetrate new verticals.
- Sales Pipeline Management: Actively generate high-quality leads, nurture prospects, and consistently meet monthly and quarterly revenue targets.
- Relationship Excellence: Maintain strong, long-lasting partnerships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring satisfaction and identifying opportunities for upsells and renewals.
- Market Intelligence: Conduct deep-dive competitive analysis and provide data-driven insights to guide product innovation.
- Team Collaboration: Oversee the social media team and work cross-functionally to bolster our company’s online presence and authority.
- Reporting: Deliver precise reports on business development activities, financial status, and market dynamics.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, IT, Banking, Marketing, or Economics.
- Minimum of 4 years of dedicated experience in B2B or B2C sales and account management, preferably within the Banking or Tech industries.
- Strong understanding of cloud-based solutions and enterprise workflows.
- Demonstrated success in managing complex sales cycles and exceeding growth targets.
- Proficiency in CRM software (Salesforce, HubSpot) and the Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must reside in Lagos, Nigeria, with an intimate knowledge of the local business environment.
- Professional qualifications such as CIBN, ACA, or CFA are considered an added advantage.
