Role Overview

As an Associate Professor/Reader in Cyber Security, you will play a pivotal role in the Department of Computer Science / Cyber Security. You will be responsible for delivering high-quality lectures, designing advanced curricula that align with global digital security demands, supervising student research, and publishing high-impact papers. You will also mentor junior academic staff and drive collaborative industry-academia partnerships to enhance the university's cybersecurity profile.

Minimum Requirements

To be considered for this academic position, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Academic Qualifications: Must possess the qualifications prescribed by the National Universities Commission (NUC) and relevant professional regulatory bodies for the cyber security program.
• Postgraduate Degrees: Candidates must possess relevant postgraduate qualifications (Ph.D. in Cyber Security, Computer Science, or closely related fields) from a recognized institution.
• Professional Registration: Must be duly registered and licensed by the appropriate professional regulatory body, as applicable.
• Academic Experience: Demonstrated evidence of teaching, research, and laboratory experience within a university setting, with a strong record of scholarly publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals.
• Note: Possession of the Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from a recognized institution is an added advantage for appointment into the Medicine and Surgery Programme, but candidates for the Cyber Security role must primarily demonstrate advanced expertise in computing and digital security fields.
