Role Description

As the Artificial Intelligence Tutor, you will design and deliver engaging lessons that demystify complex AI concepts, tools, and real-world applications for beginners and intermediate learners. This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Ibadan, offering a flexible mix of on-site teaching and work-from-home options.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

Preparing comprehensive curriculum materials and lesson plans tailored to diverse learning styles.
Teaching in both small group settings and larger classrooms, ensuring an engaging and interactive learning environment.
Supervising hands-on projects, guiding students through practical application, and providing constructive, actionable feedback on assignments.
Supporting learners through one-on-one mentorship to help them overcome learning challenges and build impressive, career-ready portfolios.
Collaborating with other instructors and tech experts to ensure courses remain current with the latest industry standards.
Participating in student assessments, continuous course improvements, and facilitating occasional workshops or events for students and partner organizations.

Key Qualifications

The ideal candidate is a proactive communicator with a strong foundation in AI and a passion for helping others succeed. To excel in this role, you should possess:

Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of artificial intelligence fundamentals, including machine learning concepts, data handling, and basic algorithms.
Practical Tooling: Hands-on experience with AI workflows and tools, such as Python-based libraries, data analysis environments, and model evaluation practices.
Teaching & Mentorship Skills: Proven ability or natural talent for explaining complex technical ideas clearly to learners at various skill levels.
Curriculum Development: Experience in lesson planning and creating project-based learning activities that keep students engaged.
Excellent Communication: Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, with an inclusive approach to teaching diverse learners in both physical and virtual classrooms.
Education & Background: A relevant academic background in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field, OR equivalent practical industry experience.
Professionalism: Reliability, strong teamwork skills, and the ability to thrive in a collaborative, multidisciplinary educational environment. Prior experience in tech education, bootcamps, or training programs is highly advantageous.
