We are currently seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented API / Automation Engineer to join our growing team. Role Purpose
As our new API / Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for executing and automating the comprehensive API test suite, as well as building and maintaining the committed automation regression pack for key enterprise programs.
Key Responsibilities
- Execute critical API test cases, including contract correctness, status codes, schema validation, versioning, and backward-compatibility.
- Build and stabilize mobile UI automation (using Appium) and API automation (using RestAssured) scripts for the committed automation scope.
- Integrate automation directly into CI/CD execution waves—running smoke tests on every build, regression tests nightly, and extended suites pre-release.
- Stand up service-virtualization mocks for third-party payment-rail and identity-verification dependencies during initial environment setups, ensuring early testing is never blocked by sandbox availability.
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Demonstrated, hands-on API test automation experience utilizing RestAssured or equivalent frameworks.
- Proven mobile UI automation experience using Appium or equivalent tools.
- Solid background in CI/CD pipeline integration.
- Mandatory Requirement: Candidates must possess relevant Nigerian Banking industry experience.
