The Production Supervisor is a critical leadership position responsible for overseeing all production activities. Your primary objective will be to guarantee the efficient, high-quality, safe, and timely delivery of products across our food and hospitality segments. This involves direct supervision of production staff, meticulous monitoring of processes, and rigorous enforcement of operational standards to achieve peak performance.

Key Responsibilities: Driving Excellence in Production

Your journey with DRI as a Production Supervisor will encompass a range of vital responsibilities designed to optimize our operational output:

  • Production Operations Management:
    • Oversee and direct daily production activities and workflow, ensuring seamless execution.
    • Strategically plan and implement production schedules and operational procedures to meet targets.
    • Continuously monitor production quality and overall operational efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
    • Ensure the timely production and delivery of all products, adhering to schedules and client expectations.
  • Team Leadership and Supervision:
    • Lead, supervise, and coordinate the activities of production staff across shifts, fostering a cohesive and productive environment.
    • Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs for staff on operational best practices and safety procedures.
    • Monitor staff productivity and provide constructive feedback, implementing disciplinary actions when necessary to maintain standards.
    • Actively promote teamwork and instill a culture of operational excellence within the production team.
  • Quality and Compliance:
    • Champion compliance with all food safety, hygiene, and operational standards, safeguarding product integrity and consumer health.
    • Conduct regular, thorough inspections of production areas and equipment, ensuring optimal functioning and cleanliness.
    • Proactively identify operational issues and swiftly implement effective corrective actions to mitigate risks and maintain workflow.
  • Inventory and Reporting:
    • Diligently monitor raw material usage and manage production inventory levels to prevent shortages or excesses.
    • Implement strategies to minimize wastage and actively support cost control initiatives across production.
    • Prepare detailed and accurate production reports and provide regular operational updates to management, facilitating informed decision-making.
  • What We're Looking For: Qualifications and Requirements

    To excel in this role, you will bring a blend of academic achievement, practical experience, and essential skills:

    • Education and Certifications:
      • A Bachelor's degree, Higher National Diploma (HND), or Ordinary National Diploma (OND) in Food Science, Production Management, Business Administration, or a closely related discipline is required.
    • Experience:
      • Possess 1 to 4 years of progressive experience in production or manufacturing supervision.
      • Crucially, relevant experience in bakery, restaurant, food production, or hospitality operations is a must.
      • Demonstrated and proven experience in effectively supervising operational teams.
    • Essential Skills:
      • Leadership and Operational Skills: Exhibit strong leadership capabilities and excellent team management abilities. Possess a sound understanding of production processes and principles of operational efficiency. Demonstrate the ability to perform effectively under pressure and consistently meet deadlines.
      • Communication and Organizational Skills: Possess strong communication and reporting skills, capable of conveying complex information clearly. Show excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with a keen eye for detail and unwavering commitment to quality standards.
