The Role at a Glance

As a Mixologist, you will be the heartbeat of the luxury bar operations. You will be responsible for preparing and serving premium cocktails, mocktails, and specialty beverages that align with high-end brand standards. Combining deep mixology expertise with exceptional guest engagement, you will craft memorable experiences while driving operational efficiency, quality, and profitability within the bar environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Beverage Preparation and Service: Prepare and serve consistent, high-quality cocktails, mocktails, and other premium beverages according to luxury standards. Develop innovative signature cocktail programs and seasonal menus.
  • Guest Engagement: Interact professionally with guests, recommend customized pairings, and handle feedback or special requests with utmost professionalism.
  • Menu Innovation: Collaborate with the Food & Beverage Manager to create specialty drink concepts for VIP guests, promotions, and themed events, ensuring alignment with the hotel’s luxury brand positioning.
  • Inventory & Stock Management: Monitor stock levels of premium spirits, garnishes, and bar supplies. Conduct regular inventory audits to minimize wastage and control beverage costs through effective portioning.
  • Bar Operations & Compliance: Maintain a clean, organized, and hygienic bar environment. Strictly adhere to standard opening and closing procedures, and ensure compliance with food safety and responsible beverage service regulations.
  • Teamwork & Training: Train and mentor junior bar staff and bartenders on cocktail preparation techniques and service standards to foster a collaborative culture of continuous improvement.

Requirements and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, candidates must demonstrate a blend of technical expertise, creativity, and polished interpersonal skills. The ideal candidate should possess:

  • Experience: A minimum of 3–5 years of progressive experience as a Mixologist or Senior Bartender in a luxury hotel, fine dining establishment, or upscale premium lounge.
  • Education: A Diploma, Certificate, or Degree in Hospitality Management, Food & Beverage Management, or a related field is an advantage. A Professional Mixology Certification is highly desirable.
  • Skills: Advanced knowledge of spirits, wines, liqueurs, international cocktail-making techniques, and current beverage industry trends.
  • Attributes: Excellent communication skills, a professional and well-groomed appearance, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
