Role Overview
As a Food & Beverage Waitress, you will be the welcoming face of the dining establishment. Reporting directly to the Food and Beverage Manager, your primary function will be to serve menus and dishes while attending to guests' needs with grace, efficiency, and a warm demeanor.
Specific Duties and Activities
- Greet and escort customers to their tables promptly and professionally.
- Present menus and provide detailed information when asked, including explaining portions, ingredients, and potential food allergies.
- Prepare tables by meticulously setting up linens, silverware, and glassware.
- Offer menu recommendations upon request and skillfully up-sell additional products when appropriate.
- Take accurate food and drink orders utilizing modern POS ordering software.
- Communicate order details clearly and efficiently to the kitchen staff.
- Check dishes and kitchenware for optimal cleanliness and presentation, reporting any issues immediately.
- Clear tables by carrying dirty plates, glasses, and silverware to the kitchen for cleaning.
- Participate in pre-shift meetings with restaurant staff to review daily specials, menu changes, and service specifications for reservations.
- Adhere strictly to all relevant health department regulations and safety standards.
- Deliver outstanding customer service that exceeds guest expectations.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the management.
