The YL4N Project is a crucial initiative designed to amplify youth participation in nutrition advocacy, policy engagement, and vital community action. It aims to empower young Nigerians to become powerful champions for nutrition within their local communities and states, fostering sustainable change from the grassroots up.

Lagos State – 20 Youth Advocates
Kano State – 20 Youth Advocates
Ebonyi State – 20 Youth Advocates
Federal Capital Territory (FCT) – 20 Youth Advocates

Your Role as a Youth Advocate: Driving Change

As a Youth Advocate, you will be at the forefront of community engagement and advocacy. Successful applicants will have the opportunity to:

Champion nutrition awareness and advocacy within their communities.
Actively participate in community nutrition dialogues and engagement activities.
Mobilize and engage fellow young people on critical issues related to nutrition, food systems, and broader development challenges.
Support the generation of evidence, documentation, and reporting of advocacy activities.
Benefit from comprehensive training, mentorship, and capacity-building opportunities.
Collaborate effectively with government agencies, civil society organizations, and various community stakeholders.
Support impactful youth-led advocacy initiatives aimed at significantly improving nutrition outcomes across Nigeria.

Who We Are Looking For: Eligibility Criteria

We invite applications from young, dynamic individuals who meet the following criteria:

Must be between 18 and 30 years old.
Must reside in Lagos, Kano, Ebonyi State, or the FCT and be available for the entire project duration.
Must demonstrate a genuine interest in nutrition, public health, food systems, youth development, or related fields.
Must possess good communication and teamwork skills.
Must be willing to volunteer their time and actively participate in network activities.
