About the Opportunity
Jhpiego, an affiliate of Johns Hopkins University, is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Sustainability and Systems Advisor to join our team. Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of project sustainability and transition plans in collaboration with government stakeholders.
- Facilitate the design of innovative health financing mechanisms to ensure domestic resource mobilization.
- Build the capacity of state and local government health management structures, focusing on leadership, management, and integrated health responses.
- Serve as the primary liaison for health systems strengthening, representing the project at the state level.
- Provide technical assistance to drive health reforms and improve the delivery of primary healthcare services, including HIV and TB prevention, care, and treatment.
- Assess the needs and institutional capacity of government partners to manage integrated health interventions independently.
- Oversee research, data collection, and policy formulation efforts to ensure program quality and compliance.
Required Qualifications and Skills
To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- Education: An Advanced Degree in Public Health, Sociology, or a related medical/social science discipline (Master’s level preferred).
- Experience: At least 7 years of senior-level experience in health systems strengthening, including health planning, financing, and human resources for health.
- USG Expertise: Demonstrated experience with US Government-funded programs and familiarity with associated reporting requirements.
- Local Context: In-depth knowledge of Nigeria’s health systems and proven ability to collaborate effectively with state-level officials.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and facilitation skills, with the ability to thrive under pressure in complex, fast-paced environments.
