Opportunity: State ACSM Engagement Coordinator Consultant at eHealth Systems Africa
Are you passionate about bridging the gap in healthcare access through technology and community-driven initiatives? eHealth Systems Africa is seeking a dedicated and strategic professional to join our team as a State Advocacy, Community Engagement and Reporting (ACSM) Coordinator Consultant in Kaduna. This is a vital role under the GTS-COMM-R Grant, focused on digitizing community mobilization efforts to improve health outcomes across the region.
About the Role
As the State Engagement Coordinator, you will serve as the primary representative for eHealth Africa within the Advocacy, Communication and Social Mobilization (ACSM) Working Group. Your leadership will be instrumental in bridging the gap between digital systems and community action, ensuring that our digitized toolkits are effectively implemented, institutionalized, and utilized by key stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead stakeholder engagement with government agencies, traditional/religious leaders, and CBOs/CSOs.
- Support weekly ACSM meetings and ensure active participation in technical working groups.
- Provide supportive supervision for data collectors and facilitate the transition to digitized reporting tools (e.g., ODK, Kobo).
- Design and execute advocacy plans to influence state-level policy and mobilize public support.
- Analyze state-level data and provide high-quality documentation to inform national strategies.
- Provide capacity-building training to partners to strengthen their advocacy and mobilization skills.
Who You Are
We are looking for a proactive leader who thrives in community-based environments. To be successful in this role, you should possess:
- A B.Sc degree in a relevant field.
- At least 2 years of cognate experience in community engagement projects (NGO experience is highly preferred).
- Strong familiarity with digital data collection toolkits and Google Workspace.
- Excellent conflict resolution, leadership, and interpersonal communication skills.
- The ability to speak Hausa and Fulani is highly desirable.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in Adamawa State.
