Opportunity: State ACSM Engagement Coordinator Consultant - Borno

Are you passionate about improving healthcare outcomes through community engagement and digital innovation? eHealth Africa is seeking a dedicated and strategic State Advocacy, Community Engagement, and Reporting (ACSM) Coordinator to join our team in Borno. This role is pivotal to the success of our GTS-COMM-R Grant, which aims to digitize and optimize community mobilization monitoring and reporting.

About the Role

As the State Engagement Coordinator, you will serve as the primary representative for our organization within the ACSM Working Group. You will lead stakeholder engagement efforts, ensuring our digital toolkit is effectively implemented and institutionalized. Your work will bridge the gap between government agencies, development partners, traditional and religious leaders, and the communities we serve to ensure high-quality data utilization and sustainable health impact.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and support ACSM working group activities and weekly meetings within the context of Polio and RI programs.
Build and maintain strong relationships with traditional institutions, CBOs, CSOs, and state government officials.
Provide technical support and supportive supervision for data collectors to ensure reporting accuracy.
Design and execute strategic advocacy plans to influence state-level policies.
Analyze data and document state-level activities to inform national and local strategies.
Facilitate training and capacity-building sessions for stakeholders to enhance mobilization skills.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate Polio, RI, and HIV response efforts.

Who You Are

We are looking for a proactive leader with the following qualifications:

Education: B.Sc degree in a related field.
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of cognate experience in community engagement projects (NGO experience is highly desirable).
Technical Skills: Proficiency in digital toolkits (such as ODK or Kobo) and Google Workspace.
Communication: Fluent in English; ability to speak Hausa and Fulani is highly desirable.
Competencies: Strong leadership, conflict resolution, time management, and the ability to multitask effectively.
Residency: Preference will be given to candidates currently residing in Adamawa State.
