Opportunity: State ACSM Engagement Coordinator Consultant (Bauchi)
eHealth Africa is at the forefront of transforming healthcare delivery through innovative information management systems. We are currently seeking a highly motivated and strategic State ACSM Engagement Coordinator Consultant to join our team in Bauchi. This role is pivotal to the success of the GTS-COMM-R Grant, which aims to digitize the Community Mobilization Monitoring and Reporting Toolkit.
About the Role
The successful candidate will provide strategic leadership in coordinating stakeholder engagement and strengthening advocacy efforts. You will serve as our primary representative at the Advocacy, Communication, and Social Mobilization (ACSM) Working Group, ensuring our initiatives align with state priorities. You will facilitate collaboration between government agencies, development partners, and traditional/religious leaders to ensure the successful institutionalization of our digitized framework.
Key Responsibilities
- Actively participate in the ACSM working group and support weekly meetings within the Polio and Routine Immunization programs.
- Engage effectively with traditional institutions, CBOs, and CSOs to drive social demand.
- Provide supportive supervision for data collectors and ensure high-quality data documentation.
- Design and execute advocacy plans to influence policy and decision-making at the state level.
- Build coalitions and partnerships to advance project goals and mobilize public support.
- Provide training and capacity-building support to local stakeholders.
- Participate in the integrated response for Polio, RI, and HIV within the state.
Who You Are
We are looking for a professional with a passion for public health and community transformation. The ideal candidate possesses:
- B.Sc Degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of 2 years of cognate experience in community engagement projects (NGO experience is preferred).
- Strong familiarity with digital tools such as ODK and KoboToolbox.
- Proficiency in Google Workspace.
- Excellent leadership, conflict resolution, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Fluency in English; the ability to speak Hausa and Fulani is highly desirable.
- Preference will be given to candidates residing in the region.
